A second chance at life
Swab To Save A Child is a campaign run by charity DKMS.
The mission is to help children with blood cancer and bone marrow failure by supporting the growth of the bone marrow registry and educating people about what it means to be a donor. It’s not widely known that 90% of people will donate in the same way as donating blood or platelets.
This weekend is your chance to Join the cause and become a hero, via a simple cheek swab, at

THIS SUNDAY 17 SEPTEMBER, between 9am-2pm.

Swab To Save A Child events are happening in locations across the UK. The Medway event is hosted by Chloe Entwistle, whose daughter Florence was diagnosed at just 23 months old with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, and she is still undergoing chemotherapy.
Children like Florence are battling every moment of the day while waiting for that one match of lifesaving donated bone marrow. Only 25% of matches are found within the family. Only 3% of the UK population are on the donation register.
So do think about going along to Dockside on Sunday - there are 1000 swabs available and the organisers don't want to send any back.
