Rochester Castle Live 2024

The Festival Crowd proudly present Kaiser Chiefs at the first ever Downtown Festival, the opening event at the brand new Rochester Castle Live series on Friday 5th July, with more great indie bands to be announced.

Renowned for their energetic performances and chart-topping hits, Kaiser Chiefs are festival regulars with a catalogue of infectious indie anthems. Almost two decades in the game, and armed with some of the UK’s favourite stadium belters, the Kaiser Chiefs’ easy 8th album recently saw the band return to the spotlight with a bold new sound and some brand new music for Summer 2024.  In the heart of Rochester this summer fans can expect a high-energy performance filled with their trademark sing-along choruses and exhilarating, foot stomping guitar riffs galore.

Rochester Castle Live will also see the stunning, riverside venue play host to Superboxx Festival on Saturday 6th July, bringing the very best of 90’s pop and club artists such as Eternal, Bewitched, Rozalla & Phats & Small (Feat Ben Ofoedu) performing live, Radio 1’s Ricky & Melvin, DJ Luck and MC Neat, Baby D and many more pumping out the retro 90’s floor fillers.

The momentous weekend in this historical haven will draw to a close on Sunday 7th July with Uptown Festival bringing the Medway crowd a reggae, funk-fuelled music line- up, headlined by none other than the chart-topping 80’s band UB40 Featuring Ali Campbell & special guests Maxi Priest, The Marley Experience and DJ/MC General Levy.

Rochester Castle stands on the east bank of the River Medway in Rochester, Kent. The beautiful 12th-century tower is one of the best preserved in England. Rochester served as a strategically important royal castle. During the late medieval period it helped protect England's South-East coast from invasion. Set in stunning gardens, the English Heritage property will be once again opening it’s doors to and inviting some of the biggest names in indie, pop, dance and reggae to perform at three expertly organised,  one day festivals, across the weekend 5th   - 7th July.

The Festival Crowd are well known for curating unparalleled experiences across the UK's music festival landscape, and are thrilled to showcase an impressive portfolio of festival brands to Rochester Castle Live. With a track record of delivering top-tier entertainment, including acclaimed events such as Uptown Festival & KISSTORY, Live on Blackheath.
